The Mediterranean is a romantic suite for a couple and was originally the farm’s adega where the wine was made and stored. When we bought the property, it still held a few dozen bottles of very dusty vintage wine (which, to put it delicately, were 'corked'). You won’t be surprised to hear that it has been entirely renovated, and the central feature is the original winepress screw, relocated to hold up the main ceiling beam.
The breakfast bar is clad in wine-box panels and faces the exposed stone wall of the fully equipped gourmet kitchen. This feature wall continues through to the luxurious bathroom with its custom walk-in shower.
The lounge/dining area has a flat-screen TV and a modern, easy-to-use pellet burner. The queen-sized bed is situated to take full advantage of the panoramic views of the private garden and valley through the floor-to-ceiling window. Glazed sliding double doors from the lounge provide access to your private wrap-around terrace with BBQ, and your garden swing seat is perfect for cocktail hour.
Sailing into the Mediterranean through the Straits of Gibraltar was a special experience, and we hope that your time in The Mediterranean will be as well.
