ROOM DESCRIPTION

Like the largest ocean, the Pacific is our largest quintinha and has two bedrooms. Originally housing the wood-fired oven and primary farmhouse kitchen, this building and the barns adjoining it have been completely renovated. We have preserved the cooking area though, and behind the original oven door, the domed, brick oven remains exactly as we found it (minus a lot of spiders and cobwebs). The fully equipped gourmet kitchen (with dishwasher) is open to a lounge and dining area with an exposed beam ceiling, flat-screen TV, pellet stove for the colder months, and double doors onto a private terrace with BBQ and al fresco dining for 6. From this lounge area, a few steps lead down to the spacious South Pacific bedroom with its queen-sized bed and built-in, wall-to-wall wardrobes. Double doors lead out to a second private terrace with sun loungers and access to the gardens. Also on this lower level is the large bathroom with a corner bath and custom walk-in shower. Upstairs from the lounge area is the second bedroom with a queen-sized bed and a single bed. Twin rose windows in both gable-end walls and a natural wood ceiling give this room a cosy, quiet, and peaceful feel. This room is, of course, named the North Pacific bedroom. Popular with children, it can also accommodate an additional trundle single bed. Our experience of sailing through the South Pacific Galapagos Islands and the North Pacific Aleutian Islands was unforgettable, and we hope your holiday in the Pacific is too!
